Trauma Intensives

Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Intensive therapy provides extended, focused treatment over one or multiple days. Rather than spending months building momentum between weekly sessions, intensives allow us to stay connected to the work long enough to create meaningful movement and deeper processing within one week.
Because these services are intensive and time and energy rich, there is often a waitlist. I am usually booked 1-2 months out at the earliest, though you are always welcome to inquire.
Intensives are often ideal for people who have already engaged in therapy, developed coping skills, and are ready to address deeper layers of trauma, attachment wounds, dissociation, or long-standing emotional patterns.
I would recommend reaching out for a free consult call, and I would be happy to help you decide which service would be the best fit for you.
Yes. Many clients seek intensives after previous EMDR experiences felt incomplete or stalled. The concentrated format often allows us to move beyond barriers that can be difficult to work through in weekly therapy.
No. All services are private pay. We can provide you with a superbill for psychotherapy services.
I love working with therapists as clients!
I do not currently see clients for ongoing therapy work outside of intensives, but I am happy to help you find a regular therapist to begin or continue your work with.
You can have your client reach out for an intensive directly. Alternatively if you have their permission and are interested in a therapist/client joint intensive, you can reach out to discuss with me yourself.
I occasionally offer sliding scale spots for intensive work, but there are very few openings available. 2026 sliding scale spots have all been filled. If you would like to be on a waitlist for a sliding scale spot, you can reach out to me. I try to save these spots for other therapists when possible.
No. Many clients travel from throughout Georgia and neighboring states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida.
A therapist-supported intensive allows your current IFS-Informed or EMDR therapist to participate in portions of the intensive experience. This collaborative approach can strengthen continuity of care and help integrate what emerges during the intensive into your ongoing therapy work.
Many early EMDR or parts therapists appreciate the opportunity to witness intensive IFS + EMDR work in real time done by an experienced EMDR Consultant to deepen their understanding of EMDR and IFS-informed approaches, and learn how to better support their clients after the intensive concludes.
