About Kathleen
You are so brave, and I’m genuinely glad you’re here. Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, but together we’ll navigate the path with compassion and respect. You don’t have to go it alone.

My experience lends itself to working with anxiety, childhood trauma, neurodiversity, relationships, identity exploration, and life transitions. This means we’ll discover how your entire life influences your mental well-being and harness your unique strengths to navigate obstacles. We’ll help you build body and brain skills like mindfulness, grounding, and healthy boundaries. I love helping adults work through blocks, discover joy, and get unstuck in their lives.

You’re encouraged to bring your full, authentic self to our therapy sessions; after all, you know your life experience best. My approach is rooted in collaboration and honest, open communication. Based on your unique goals, I draw from a variety of therapy methods to address your concerns as well as gently challenge you to foster your personal growth. Some of the approaches I use include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, somatic work, intersectional feminism, and creative expression.

If you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and empowerment, I’m here to offer steadfast support every step of the way. I offer all new clients a no-cost, no-pressure 15-minute phone consultation to see if we might work well together. I can be directly reached at kathleen@auramorris.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
My Philosophy
With over 20 years of professional experience across diverse fields, I've engaged with people from a wide range of socioeconomic, personal, and cultural backgrounds. My career spans art, healthcare, teaching, farming, and owning my own photography business. I've also had the opportunity to work with people with a variety of psychological and/or physical disabilities. I affirm all LGBTQIA+/queer sexual orientations, all gender identities and expressions, and am poly-affirming and kink-affirming. Given my background in the arts I value the opportunity to work with artists, musicians, and creatives of all kinds.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree from University of Georgia and am pursuing clinical licensure. The holistic approach that social work takes to therapy (which is that people are far more than just a medical diagnosis) as well as my own experiences in therapy are what ultimately led me to pursue becoming a therapist.
